Nose: Cherries, underripe raspberries, underripe strawberries, earthy, slightly reductive and oxidative.
Palate: Much juicer than the nose, good acidity, green pepper, saline, hint of anise.
Normally I not one for young vine Cab Franc as I can’t get on board with the green tannins. However here, perhaps helped by the skin-contact Xarel-lo this bottle works out to be juicy and delicious, serve it chilled strap in for something a bit weird but dangerously drinkable.
